My yoga instructor and close friend always says: ‘where the mind goes, energy flows’. Napoleon Hill, an American self-help author and best known for his book published in 1937, Think and Grow Rich, says ‘control the mind, and you control everything’. A positive and focussed thought pattern helps our brains to identify solutions to our challenges.
 
Our thoughts are like the starting position that a runner needs to learn to run a great race. The athlete may have an idea of where to put their feet and how to hold their arms, and they may have observed the style of other great runners. However, it takes practice and discipline for the runner to build their own technique for each race. Keeping our thoughts in alignment with our goals and building a positive mindset, begins with consistent daily practices. It is this consistency that produces the greatest shifts.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that makes you feel good. It improves your mood and keeps you energised. You have serotonin receptor sites in your eyes and getting out into the sunlight is a great way to improve your mood. Sunglasses mask these receptor sites so, when you are walking in the sunshine, opt for a hat rather than your shades.
