Welcome to my corner.
I’m Jackie. I’m a private coach. Through my thirties and early forties, I pushed hard. Career, motherhood, a degree studied in the evenings. I burnt out twice. I also spent years quietly figuring out my own health, long before any of it was mainstream or easy to navigate.

Here is my story.
1980: Born in a small hospital at the foot of a mountain on the southern tip of Africa.
[Spent my days climbing trees, exploring rivers and pretending to be She-Ra fighting for humanity.]
1997: Finished High School.
1999: Travelled to Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and then Angola to teach English in an Orphanage during the war.
[No photos because the Africans believed that a photograph would steal your soul.]
2001: Studied Public Relations + Media at Varsity College, Cape Town.
2002: Sold my car and flew to England because my grandpa is from Bradford.
[I spent most of my 20’s and 30’s in London.]
2003: Got a tattoo.
2004: Corporate career started.
[I have worked in the retail sector, a healthcare consultancy, a not-for-profit marketing organisation, for PepsiCo International on the Lipton Ice Tea brand, in a car sales showroom, in the gift shop of the Fitzwilliam Museum, for a Canadian investment bank, for the British Cabinet Office, within a climate change organisation and for a Saudi-backed investment management start-up.]
2008: Met my wonderful Husband.
2012: Had a beautiful baby girl and got married.
2014: Went gluten-free and then dairy-free.
[These were the days when no one had heard of alternative anything.]
2015: Began a History of Art degree in the evenings at Birkbeck College, London.
2016: First burn out, although I did not recognise it.
2018: Second burn out which had me out of work for 10 months.
2020: Left financial services and went to work for the Cabinet Office.
[Started on the first day of the COVID-19 lockdown, while home-schooling my daughter.]
2023: Moved my job to Leicester as we decided to move closer to family in Derbyshire.
2024: Studied a Post-Graduate in Curating + Collections Management.
2025: Found myself in the countryside with limited career options and decided to pivot into wellness. Trained as a coach, launched my newsletter and started building my business.
And here we are today where I draw from my experiences to help clients through career transitions, restore their health and build resilience.
Wellness is impacted by physical health, mental health and emotional health, and I believe that each should be nurtured with equal measure.
Where am I now.
I am an ICF-trained business and personal coach, through Barefoot Coaching, and hold a certificate in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching through Harvard Medical School. I am currently training with Dr Mindy Pelz on the science behind fasting, building personalised fasting programmes and supporting women to build their lifestyle around their hormonal patterns.
I work privately, one-to-one, with career-driven professionals who are functioning well on the outside but running on empty underneath. People who are smart, capable, and tired of nothing sticking. Together we build clear thinking through mind-body connection, a daily routine that supports current demands and making high performance sustainable, without overhauling their entire life.
Most coaches will tell you to slow down. I’m not going to tell you that.
